The School Day
The school day starts at 8.30am and ends at 3.30pm (Monday to Thursday). We finish at 3pm on Fridays.
We make sure that the children have plenty of time outside with lots of time for fresh air and play-based opportunities (see The Playground for more details).
A typical day is as follows:
Nursery & Reception
8.30am Registration & Carpet Time (usually phonics or writing)
9.15am Choosing Time
10am Break
10.20am Fruit, Story & Carpet Time (usually Maths)
10.50am Choosing Time
11.30am Lunch & Break
12.30am Carpet Time (usually Science, Character etc)
1.15pm Choosing Time & Group Focus work
2.45pm Milk
3pm End of the Day Routine (including Reflections)
3.30pm Home Time
Years 1 to 6
8.30am Registration
8.40am English (Phonics, Reading, Writing)
10.20am Break
11am Maths
12.30am Lunch & Break
1.30pm Afternoon session 1 e.g. Science, Art, PE, History
2.30pm Afternoon session 2 e.g. Character, Geography, RE, Music
3.15pm End of the Day Routine (including Reflections)
